We absolutely loved our barn dance and had the most amazing time!! Thankyou all so very much and thanks again for performing the special song for us to all have a slow dance to, we really appreciated it!!!!! All our guests said how lovely the whole thing was!

I just felt so awful that you didn’t get your platter of food, I’m so so sorry, I promise you it was all arranged and paid for but the pub completely forgot apparently, I was not best pleased!! There wasn’t even enough food for the rest of the guests really as so many more came than we anticipated!!!!!

Fiddlestix played a mix of English, Irish and Scottish music at our wedding breakfast in December. Both the musicians and the caller were excellent and we all thoroughly enjoyed the ceilidh. Many of our guests took to the floor, some of whom had never participated in a dance before. When numbers dwindled at the end of the evening, the band switched to performing Elvis Presley songs which got some of our remaining guests up and dancing. People have told us how much they enjoyed the music.

I cannot thank you enough for you and your band at my mums birthday party, it really was the best night we have had in ages. The effort by all of you far exceeded any expectation I had, never lone anyone else in the room. You didn’t just provide a band for the night, you all provided the entertainment, fun factor, the laughing (the workout!) and provided exactly and way more then I ever expected.

The music was wonderful, jolly, filled gaps , catered to everyone’s ears from ages 2 - 80+ years! You made it easy to follow the dance steps and fun for absolutely everyone, whether they were dancing or just listening to the music.

I absolutely wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you to anyone or use you all again in a heartbeat.

So thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you for providing one element that made the whole night.

Just a quick note to say thank you very much for the fabulous performances and ceilidh yesterday. The music was hugely complimented by our guests, and we had a wonderful time. Thanks to Mary’s great calling everyone got into the swing of it so readily - even the ceilidh novices!

We are just away on holiday but wanted to thank you, the band and your fabulous caller for getting our daughter’s wedding reception off to such a great start! We knew we had a few guests who would definitely get up and take part, but to have so many joining in the fun and to hear all of the glowing compliments afterwards was great!
The cheesy disco afterwards was good fun too, but I think partly that was down to the fact everyone had had such a great laugh with their attempts at barn dancing and were keen to stay on the dance floor!

From the offset, the band were wonderful. Easy to communicate with and provided all the answers to my every question. Then on the night, they were efficient with their set up and very friendly to work with. Their musical skill was very clear. And the caller was just the right mix of informative, friendly, clear, and whitty! Everyone who came along commented on how the band and caller were just great.

What a wonderful band. They absolutely nailed. Wonderful musicianship, amenable and flexible attitude with my ideas; they simply wanted to do their best to make it as good as they could. They deservedly got great applause from my appreciative guests.
The caller, Geoff, also - for a reasonable extra charge - will entertain the kids and/or do some conjuring. His balloons were a huge hit; children running around having fun so the adults could enjoy the eve without being nagged by bored children. Also, during the dancing, Geoff came out with the occasional witty comment about me and the 'do' that were right on the money.
I just cannot thank them enough not just for making it a wonderful evening, but wanting to make it a wonderful evening.
What can I say? Well, as I started this review: What a wonderful band!

We have used Fiddlestix for 2 years running for our Rotary Barn dance. Very happy with the band as they keep everyone on their feet whilst dancing and smiling, which is a great accomplishment.
Have had great feedback from people attending the barn dance. Well done Fiddlestix. Looking forward to next year.

The group were very professional but were also very welcoming and able to accommodate
everything asked with regard to the evening's programme.
At the beginning of the evening it was difficult to get people up to dance but the group
persevered and by the end of the evening everyone did not want to leave the floor.

Hi Fiddlestix,
Just wanted to thank you and your band very much for a most successful Macmillan Cancer Support Barn Dance event last night. Your band and your caller Geoff kept everyone fully involved all night long and it was a very enjoyable evening in the knowledge that essential money was raised to help people and their families affected by cancer. £1300 was raised last night after all expenses and we feel that was a decent amount.

Everyone had a fabulous time at the Ceilidh on Friday night. Most people were beginners at the event but Sarah, the caller, got everyone dancing away. She was very clear, so everyone knew exactly what they should be doing and there weren't too many toes stepped on! It was great fun and the musicians were professional and sounded great. We all had a lovely time dancing and listening to the band.

Thank you so much for running our ceilidh. I was a little worried about the size of the venue but that wasn't an issue at all in the end. Sarah's enthusiasm in getting people on the dance floor made for such a wonderful occasion. Even some people we never dreamt of seeing dancing were! We loved it all and the last dance (strip the willow) variant was a truly wonderful way of leaving the dance floor and retiring to our cottage.

Thank you every so much for making so effortlessly enjoyable (from our point of view). I hope you all enjoyed it too!

Thanks for the fantastic Burns Night Event on the 23rd January. The guys did us proud with fantastic music and all our guests had a brilliant time.
Thank you for organising our Ceilidh Band for us and being so helpful. They piped in our Haggis and did the Ode to a Haggis and helped the whole evening to be an amazing event!! I recommend Fiddlestix very highly!!

We hired the Fiddlestix Ceilidh Band for a Burns night Supper and they were absolutely fantastic! The played a beautiful collection of ballads as guests enjoyed their drinks, which had guests tapping their toes in no time. They then bravely lead a group of non- ceilidh dancers through a fantastic selection of dances and jigs and managed to whip everyone in to a frenzy. I would highly recommend and hope to see them again at our next event.
